Last summer Crooks & Castles and Mosley Tribes put out a pair of collaboration sunglasses, I have been dying for a pair since then. Because Mosley Tribes was distributing them it has been difficult to get my hands on a pair. The other day I, again, mentioned that I wanted a pair and low and behold a belated Christmas present landed on my desk this morning. Thank you Matt.

the season has come.

After spending almost two years working in a male dominated industry, streetwear, it is nice to see that many men's streetwear brands have started looking outside of the box; or shall I crudely say, at the box.
I have mainly been focused, for obvious reasons, on the brands I've worked for; my two favorite being Rocksmith and Crooks & Castles. Many have seen me in their shrunken tees and crews or my scarce fitted tee the guys had produced for the brands. But this coming summer I can truly live by the saying 'you are what you wear', a woman.
Rock and Crooks have incorporated a full line of Women's tee shirts for the Spring/Summer 09 season and I couldn't be happier about it. Good looking out guys!

Look at what Style.com has featured as the item of the week, my Sorels!
I was lucky enough to get a pair for Christmas from my sister-in-law, unluckily they were to big. After two frustrating trips back to the Bay, I left without any boots my size and a gift certificate. Now I need to find a place that carries these beauties, I have never seen this model; The Joan of the Arctic boot by Sorel. Cute.

Also, any suggestions for usage of my HBC gift certificate? Mac? a pair of Hunters (even though I really don't want to deal with that shoe dept ever again (a-holes)? a humidifier?

Fast Food

A while back Hypebeast featured Le Chalet X Colette, an exhibit based on a few knitting artists. It is on display at the store for the entire winter. The artists, Wool & The Gang, Ketty Sean: Doll & Plush, and Aurelie Mathigot; are all pretty talented. BUT, we all know crocheting is the new knitting, so they should have done their research and commissioned Nicole Gastonguay to provide her impeccable designs.

I could have not asked for more from 2008; I am a lucky lady to have developed and maintained relationships with so many wonderful, interesting, influential people in the last year. Today was a good day.
Woke up without even snoozing.
Went to work, got what needed to be done done.
Had a very exciting top secret all day email convo with Hana.
Had a wonderful lunch at Burger King with Charles. (Its not the food it's the company)
Chatted with a long lost friend on fbook.
Finally got 13 people to agree on a place to eat tomorrow night. phew.
and the most important event of today is yet to come!

Merry Xmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
What a perfect Christmas eve day! I am just about to leave the city for Mont Tremblant to spend the next few days with my fam and extended fam. The thing I am most excited for is definitely the time I get to spend with my nephew, Ben. (He is even cuter than the Rudolph I made (above)). My family is filled with Christmas tradition, but this year Ben is an addition so it will be exciting to have a nubie Christmas participant. The legend of Santa Clause is back for the next ten-ish years. Fun.

ps. This will be the last blog post for a few... cause my family house is so deep in the woods they only get dial up! Ha! (at least I get cell service now.)
