Hypebeast had a little blurb about this project today and it interested me so I looked further into it. Artist JR, behind project 28 Millimeters is spreading smiles across the world; literally. He has gone into Kenya, Sudan, Sierra-Leone and Liberia; areas where women suffer extreme violence due to the armed conflicts and ethnic wars in Africa. They are known to be the source of the worse crimes committed toward women in the world.
JR has gone into these villages, heard the women's stories, and has taken their picture. He will expose these pictures, displaying them first in their own village and then in western countries like Brussels, Paris and London.
My favorite quote in the video below is when he says 'when you hear the story you're like, whoa, maybe the person is dying inside. But then when you ask her to do faces, you see life.'

This is my one hundredth post! I have been trying to think of something witty to post but with this atrocious flu/sickness/cold my brain has quit on me. I have been in bed for the last 3 days and still feel like every time I blink I'm hitting a brick wall. If you know me and you haven't gotten this virus yet (its going around fast), stay away.
I leave you with this, my eyes are burning because I cried like a baby. This sickness makes you emotional too. It was my third time crying today.

Just caught a glimps of Kanye's ladies design for LV. I think they are super cute. He says that he's always looks for luxury kicks for girls and could never find anything simple enough. Compares them to Keds or Vans but the luxury version.

As I have already mentioned in previous posts; I have been looking for winter boots. I almost had my hands of a pair of Sorels this Christmas but they slipped out of my hands in true Bay fashion. On Saturday I set out on finding something to replace my Christmas gift turned gift certificate and decided that I would go try on some Hunters. I had the tall Original wellies in forest green in mind but these babies caught my eye (how could they not). I tried on the Original wellies for good measure, but ended up leaving with the bright yellow Festival Lace instead.

this is how my morning started.
Walking home this morning. I got mega splashed, got muddy salt water in my hair, on my face, on my Tims, and as you can see on my jacket. I considered writing a missed connection.

As some of you know, I am a fan of LeSportsac; as some of you may not know, LeSportsac has a featured artist design a collection for them every season. They create all over patterns for the brand and also display them on newly designed models of LeSportsac purses and bags. Merijn Hos is the current artist in residence. I hopped onto his site today. I loved his work. I would discribe his work as, for a lack of a better/more fitting word, cute! The colored stuff is a little cartoonish, but this pics I've posted below are in China Ink. I think that they are absolutely beautiful. They make me think of that great Coke add the had on TV for a while, with the make beleive world/creatures inside the vending machine.
