I fell upon this site. They are an accessory label called Fleet Ilya that prides themselves as 'Taboo Breakers'. Their pieces range from corset belts, to metallic waist clinchers, to classic leather handbags. If you look at their 'concept' or 'restraint' section of the site; its way to intense for my liking. BUT in the 'classic' part, LOOK AT THE HANDBAGS. So beautiful. (not to mention the photo shoot is great)

I’ve been dealing with this rad gal named Daniella at Universal for a while; we got along really well via email and phone conversations. I finally add her onto my Facebook and see that we have quite a few friends in common; I just shrug it off, thinking everyone knows everyone in Canada. Then she messages me turns out we’ve had a common movie night (actually Wire night) with Leslie together, so we’ve met and chilled. World works in wonderful ways.
She just sent me a package of CDs yesterday (cause I told her my iTunes got wiped out by the IT guy at work (only half was backed up)(whole other story to post, I’m so mad)), so I’m jamming to the new Q-Tip. I love it. Wow.

La La Bamba, bamba, bamba, bamba! (that's what it sounded like)(those aren't even the words!)
Kenza is one of my best girlies and I will support her in all her endeavours; so last night I was one of the few who attended her choir recital. We arrived just in the nick of time (Almost pulled the embarrassing parent move; arriving in the middle of child’s solo at the xmas concert). Once sitting down, I look to the stage and she wasn’t there. I look at the program and it seemed like I got more than I bargained for. We had to sit through a chamber choir before Kenza’s class? For 45 minutes?
After a few minutes of trying to embrace it, I again pulled out the program and notice the last song they were to sing was La Bamba; Ritchie Valens’ hit song from the movie? I all of a sudden perked up and curiously waited… and waited. Finally they started singing what vaguely sounded like a chamber choir version of the Mexican rock song. Please take a second and try to imagine what this sounded like. My goodness… couldn’t they have just sang Christmas songs the entire show? I wore a red plaid shirt for that reason! I thought it was a Christmas recital. The only good part of that song was that it was the last.
Finally Kenza’s class came on! Dressed in black and white, the men were in bow ties (pretty cute). They were about three times the size of the chamber choir, therefore a lot more dynamic. I basically watched her the whole time, giggled when it looked like she didn’t know the words (later on we were informed by her that she didn't know one of the songs very well). But in all, she looked like a very well versed professional singer. We took some pictures to document the show… thanks for the good times Enzo.
Oh, and I would like to send out a big ups to BEN! He missed the hockey game to come to the show! Very impressive. No matter what he says, he had fun I have proof.

I headed to Toyko after the W last night... forgot that it was electro night and the bar transformed into a horrible mess of university students jumping up and down, throwing their hands in the air. Kenza and I went directly to the DJ booth, while she was saying hi and stashing our jackets, I spotted this...
So freaking funny. First, I don't know how many time's I've heard those songs. People are still requesting them that often that they had to put up a sign refusing requests from the heartbroken little AA wearing darlings? Secondly, what's with the grammar? I hope it is the language barrier causing this, if not the Montreal schooling system might need reviewing.
After spending too much time and money there, I grabbed my leather, Kenza grabbed her fur (yes, shake your heads my vegan friends)... And then it happened. Hatch put on Heartbroken by T2 Ft Jodie! My night had been made. Thanks for the request Kenza. Xo

I think that winking is underrated. It means so many things, like 'hey there, I think you're cute' or 'I'm not going to say it, but you know what I mean' or 'Inside Joke!' or 'I'm a creepy old man and I'll think of you when I get home (like the Cours Mont Royal/T's apt dude)(ewwwwww). The meanings are endless; it's just an understanding no matter what. If you catch me winking these days it's because I'm trying to represent it so it can loose the creepy old man reputation.
